A short history of the vestiges of late Roman society on western views on homosexuality...X_X

I would concur that it is a remnant of the gender bias from earlier times. Throughout history it has always been considered most acceptable for the male to be dominant, the female submissive. In the case of two males, it was a matter of power, and in the case of courting a woman, it was always a matter of pleasing the father. In these cases, and in early times, I believe the women, at least in 'respected' families, were never allowed to determine with whom they associated. And likewise, with whom they would take to bed.

It is likely only because of modern policies and moral practices that we consider it absurd that male-male homosexual behaviour would be treated more favorably than female-female homosexual behaviour.

Ironically, the situation is now the reverse, with virtually all males unanimously supporting female-female behaviour (preferably on video,) and politicians against homosexuality are almost always opposed to the male, gay community. What changed that around, and by what oddity of human nature or societal influence has female-female homosexual behaviour become reversed, and even popularized by a large segment of the population?

Not that I oppose it, of course. But if anyone dare claim that it's wrong, I'll claim that I'm just a victim of societal influences. "I don't know how that lesbian porn got there!" -- Kidding.
