Things to Remember
People aren't as mean or as suspicious as you would think
There is more to life than Clothes, Boys, and School
Count goslings every spring when they hatch. They're a good reminder of how time passes, and also they are really really cute.
Forgive yourself when you can't be there for your friends. It's virtually impossible to be there for them all the time without ruining both your life and theirs. Accept that somethings a person has to do by themselves, even if it's a person you love dearly.
Avoid people who make you feel anxious about yourself or what your doing. You'll be healthier and happier if you do things with confidence, even if that person knows a real reason why you shouldn't be confident.
Always go to weddings and funerals. To be invited to an important part of a person's life is an honor, and they specifically chose you. Also, people remember who was there years and years later.
Try to watch the Discovery and History Channel at least once. Just because it's educational doesn't mean it won't be interesting.
Don't plan your life around your television shows.
Have at least one really great dress that makes you feel like a million bucks.
Use analogies. They make you look smarter.
Make up is there to enhance your natural beauty, not to hide it beneath a mask. Wear light makeup that blends well with your skintone and wear a lipstick that is at least darker than you skin. Orange skin and pale lips look really weird.
Keep a scrapbook or a photo album for at least a year. You'll appreciate being able to look back years from now.
Color-coordinate your dorm room when you go to college.
Don't expect fate to throw something to you because you've been a good person. Go out and get it yourself if you think you deserve it.
When choosing a career, look for something you enjoy, but also something you can make enough money by to support your hobbies. IF you really love doing something but can't make any money doing it, make it your main hobby.
