So the 311 show wasn't too bad. We got there around 6:15pm, the roots were to come on at 7. So me and Josh walked around to check out the place a bit. Got some fries and walked back to the stage area. The roots then came on, and rocked for like 15-20 minutes straight. They're like a hip-hop band... they rocked the first 5-6 songs. Then they started jamming out one by one. The bassist would have a 5 minute solo, then the guitar, then the drummers... that lasted 15 min. So boring.
311 came on around 8:30? But I was right up front with Josh... we were maybe like 10 layers of people back from the stage. Considering that there were over 5,000 people there. It was so packed. So 311 started to play and I was gettin' thrown around everywhere, along with my cousin, and some kid from Ohio who came by himself. I kept pushing off of Josh to fuck with him, i'd grab the kid from Ohio and throw him and shit. We were sweating so bad, so Josh kept whiping his face sweat off on other peoples shirts in the mosh pit. Probably the funniest thing ever.
After about 5-6 songs... I had to leave the pit, I could not breathe. My glasses were all foggy, and I didn't want them to break... they were in my pockett for a bit. When I finally wiggled my way out, I went to go get 2 bottles of coke. I needed it. I'm fat.
After that I went to the side of the stage where I could get real close and not be swarmed by people. At this time, I had no idea where Josh was. I figured the crowd ate him alive. 311 played a DECENT selection of songs. I feel they didn't play their best. Although they did close to Feels So Good.
Overall the show was good, but not worth 38 bucks. But atleast I seen 311 before they break up. Which could be within the next 3 years.
Jen, Jay, Theresa and myself went to Kennywood last wednesday... but I think I just typed a lot. Maybe Jen can write all about it in her journal. Right, Jen!?!? We did have fun, especially on the Phantom's Revenge and Jack Rabbit... RIGHT, JEN!?!? Gimme it! Gimme it! Give it to me!
