"Even though we're men, we're still human and make mistakes."

I know everybody's probably sick of hearing/talking about the Polanski thing, but WTF, this Askmen. com commentary? I can't even begin on the absurdity of comparing this to Letterman's situation, much less the trivializing attitude of the entire column. Some content just isn't fair game for satire, if that's what this complete ass is going for.

Why, why, WHY must it be so hot in this dorm?!?

I got a very, very good laugh out of the bulletin board our RA put up where people are supposed to etch down cute little doodles of what they're dressing up as for Halloween. Somebody is being the Riddler, and all the comments that people were writing down in response to other people's responses have, over the course of an evening, escalated into some kind of guerilla magic marker flame war over who's the biggest comic book geek. ("The Joker might be brilliant, but Riddler's the only character who rivals Batman in his detective skills." "FUCK YOU, I'M NOT EVEN DISPUTING THAT.") I gotta show this to my sister and my Batman-obsessed friend when they come to visit tomorrow. I should troll on the thing, just be like "HUSH is the bestest Batman volume EVAR!11!" It's funny how I'm not much of a comics reader but I know enough to be able to piss off the purists.

I find myself revisiting a lot of 90s music lately.
You know, a while back a friend of mine made fun of me for having a Stone Temple Pilots ring tone. I was kind of puzzled by the suggestion that it was anything to be embarrassed about. It makes me feel like I am indeed getting older when it doesn't occur to me that my guilty pleasures are guilty pleasures.

ranting, comics, music
