...we found an apartment complex that might be really fantastic. It's not walking distance from IPFW, but it's only about 5 miles away from it, so it's a short drive, hopefully on the bus route, and probably biking distance when I'm not in a hurry. It has free garages and lots of storage space. We have to check and make sure they're on the bus route and will allow bunnies and ferrets (but they seem to be pet-friendly, so that seems hopeful). Hopeful hopeful.
Anyways, they advertise themselves as having rolling hills. Which is funny, because rolling hills don't really exist in northern Indiana. Me and my mom went to drive around there tonight, and sure enough, no rolling hills. Pretty flat, actually. We laughed a lot. XD Still, despite the lack of rolling hills, it looks pretty fantastic. I'm hopeful.
If this doesn't work out, it sounds like we're probably going ahead and closeting the critters at Caterbury. (Har, alliteration.)
Anyways, after checking out the nonexistant rolling hills, we went and picked the brothercreature up from tae kwon do. I would do tae kwon do, but I don't have money to do so, and I don't have time to work there as an assistant instructor in exchange for classes (which is what my brother does). So I just pop in or attend demo events periodically to say hi. I kind of miss the tae kwon do peoples (most of the instructors and a lot of students migrated over from the place I used to do tae kwon do for part of high school).
Anyways, apparently the tae kwon do-ites are going on a weekend camping trip at the end of June, I found out tonight.
...and I'm going with them!
I'M GOING CAMPING WITH THE TAE KWON DO-ITES!
Omigosh omigosh omigosh.
Excitement!
It's $55, but Mom is paying for me to go.
It's not going to be a relax-and-read camping trip. Obviously. I'm hoping I'll get that later in the summer with my dad. But I can't believe I'm going on the tae kwon do camping trip! I'm so glad they're letting me come along. Apparently there will be lots of "team-building" games. As designed by Master Heimlich. Master Heimlick is the head instructor. She's great. She claims "fun" spelled backwards is "torture." I kind of miss her torture-fun. I miss all these people. I love all these people. I even love the ones I just met tonight for a few minutes when we picked up Froggy.
This is so good. I'm going camping with everyone from tae kwon do. I'm going to be tormented by Master Heimlich. I'm not competitive at all and I'll probably lose every game and have to do dishes the whole weekend. And it's going to be wonderful. I ran in circles yelling "Yaaaaay!" and flailing my arms when they told me I could go.
