Last November (I guess last last Nov, '07), I was sitting in the Hong Kong airport and I noticed that a lot of girls were wearing boots and skirts. In fact, probably %90 of girls who walked by were wearing boots and skirts. I didn't think much of it, a fad, a change from the previous fad of all girls wearing those flat shoes that look like ballet slippers.
Then, a year later, back in the US, I noticed that every girl here was suddenly wearing boots too, but tucked into their jeans. Now, it's one thing for a parade of cute Asian girls to be wearing boots and skirts, looking put together and all around fuckable, but every girl here is wearing some kind of vaguely 70s-ish floppy boot that looks like ass, and then when they tuck their pants into their boots they look like 4 year olds about to head out into the snow to go sledding.
I'm not exempt though. When I was in 4th grade I was dying to have a pair of Nikes, so finally my mom bought me some, and they weren't even Airs. Did you know Nike makes non-Nike Airs, just regular old Nikes? Wah wah. Also, I owned and wore a pair of imitation Reebok Pumps. They had the little orange basketball pump, but unlike the real shoes, this pump didn't do shit.
