[Muggle technology has somewhat eluded Molly over the years, despite her husband being the head of the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts department at the Ministry of Magic. Nevertheless, she gets the gist of what the purpose of the phone is, possibly why the majority of Mayfield is hearing a screaming woman over theirs. People from her world will most ( Read more... )

Wait... what's wrong with proportionate?

Um... excuse me, Mam? I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but... you're sort of stuck here with us now. It's not so bad once you get used to it, though I hear it can be really really bad every now and again.

NON-

[realizes her tone is a little harsh for someone who called her 'Mam']

-sense! I am far too busy to be stuck anywhere.

I understand that, I was really busy back home too. But... there isn't much of a choice. At least, that's what I've been told.

Told by whom?

The other people who were kidnapped. Everyone here, except the creepy people who don't seem like real people, are kidnapped.

The more I think about it the more it's like a creepy movie....

Now just what kind of foolish nonsense is this? A town where everyone's kidnapped? Utterly ridiculous.

I know! It's like the plot of a badly planned cross over! Except no one knows what we need to do to get to the end boss and go home.

Cross over? Is that like a train?

A train in space would be a nice setting for something like that....

But, no. I mean, like a story. Say, there are a bunch of different stories by different people, and you want people from A, B, and C, to interact. So, you make a new story and put those people in it! Cross over games are usually really bad though, and are only worth it for the characters featured....

Excusing the fact that we are most certainly not fictional, you mean?

abravelikehero December 7 2010, 22:19:01 UTC
Exactly, it's like that only in real life.

What a ridiculous idea! How long has this been going on?

I'm not sure, I've been here almost a month. I think others mentioned being here a year or more?

A year?

No. That simply won't do. I leave the boys home alone for a year and the entire Burrow will be up in smoke. Not to mention how unsafe it is...

[a sigh]

People have left before, haven't they?

More or less.

I know how you feel, I have a lot to do back home too, but there's not much I can do about it. At least Mao seems to be here as well, though I haven't heard from him in a while.

I-I don't really know. People talk about something called "droning" but I don't know what that is.
