random thought: i bet there are aliens or other life forms, it's just that they're afraid to confront us in a public manner. seriously, think with me for a moment: wouldn't you agree that this civilization as a whole fears the unknown? we as a whole get scared of anything out of the ordinary. if there's no logical explanation that has scientific backing we write it off as fictional. but if you rewind time back to the mayan or egyptian civlization they would view an encounter with an alien and call it an encounter with a god--humanities creator, giver of life.

yep. aliens are scared of our hostile behavior, that's why they hide in their spaceships and just fly by to observe from afar ;)
