20 Hours of Smut: Sorkin Style, Drabble-A-Thon

Feb 18, 2005 15:52

Not too long ago, in a beyondtheoval chat, there was discussion about the severe lack of smut lately. That's just wrong for so many reasons. Let's see if we can do something about that, shall we?

Inspired by (oh, let's face it, I just completely ripped her off) crushing83's Tri-Fandom-Drabble-a-Thon.

ETA: Thanks to all! The Smut-A-Thon is officially closed. Go forth. Read. Swim happily through the smut.

20 Hours of Smut: Sorkin Style, Drabble-A-Thon
(Sadly, I have no fancy banner)

With a nod to the man, I have commented 20 times, each designating a one hour period. (I've chosen to omit the hours 8am - 11am). Reply to the comment of your time choice with your drabble.

The Rules :
><> Drabbles can be for The West Wing, Sports Night, American President, or A Few Good Men. Crossovers are welcome (and encouraged if only for the Felicity Huffman, Allison Janney, Annette Benning three-way potential).

><> The action of the drabble has to take place within the time period, and the body of the drabble needs to include a time mention, reference or allusion at some point. If the drabble is titled with the time (ex: "Midnight" or "4:20 pm") the time must also be mentioned in the main text as well.

><> So...what is smut? We all know it when we see it, right? It's sexy, it's sensual, and most importantly, it's consensual. (Rape drabbles, or others that depict an abusive situation are not appropriate for this particular forum.) It doesn't have to be hard-core porn, although that's permissable as long as the rating appears in the subject line. Slash is appropriate (and again encouraged - see FH/AJ/AB comment above.)

><> The subject line of each comment should contain: title, pairing, fandom, and rating. (And to be cautious let's use the ratings of either pea.gee, pea.gee.xiii, arr, or en.sea.xvii)

><> It's first come, first serve. If the time is taken, you have to pick another.

><> One person can write up to three drabbles in one day.

><> A drabble is commonly defined as 100 words exactly! (It's important, so I repeat: 100 words exactly!)

><> Please pimp this out! I've run the idea by a few people and it seemed to get a good response, but I'm terrified it will bomb!

><> Due to space, comments that are not drabbles will be deleted. Writers are encouraged to cross-post to personal lj's for feedback.

Thanks to those who participate!
