Making the Perfect Mix is Not to Be Taken Lightly

I cannot stop making mix cd's. I've always made quite a lot of them, but this past month has been crazy. Like one mix A DAY. Everyday I end up talking music with someone and they havn't heard 90% of what I'm all giddy and excited about, so you know what time it is. MIX TIME.

That and it's my form of affection when no other form is acceptable. I wanna girlfriend, dammit!!!

So my latest mix is for my friend Joel. He's pretty open-minded when it comes to new tunes and I just happen to have enough indie cred to blast him to the moon for 1.2 hours. With little variation, but here it is, and yes, it's a crime he hasn't heard the majority of this:

The Postal Service - Such Great Heights
Coldplay - Politik
Saul Williams - Grippo
John Vanderslice - Up and Above the Sea
THIS JV SONG HAS BEEN ON EVERY MIX I'VE MADE FOR A MONTH.
Interpol - PDA
Modest Mouse - Float On
Franz Ferdinand - Take Me Out
THOSE LAST 2 SONGS GO TOGETHER LIKE THEY WERE MEANT TO.
The (international) Noise Conspiracy - Smash it Up
Dismemberment Plan - The Ice of Boston
Grandaddy - Stray Dog and the Chocolate Shake
The B52's - Planet Claire
Benni Bennasi - Time
THE LAST 2 SONGS GO TOGETHER LIKE THEY WERE MEANT TO.
Saul Williams - List of Demands
The (international) Noise Conspiracy - Capitalism Stole My Virginity
John Vanderslice - Time Travel is Lonely
Nancy Sinatra - Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)
The Postal Service - Sleeping In
American Analog Set - The Kindness of Strangers
Enon - In This City
Citizen Cope - Appetite (For Lightin' Dynamite)
