How come nobody told my that BANDAGE was that good?
I hate you guys, really!

Ah~. I love music related films. Because I love music of course, but also because it usually has this complicated feeling in it, and Bandage caught that really well. It's one of the first time I thought that Akanishi was handsome, I mean: Natsu. This character fitted him so well, and the whole atmosphere floating around LANDS too. I was surprised by Kitano Kii, she can act. &this Yukiya guy was not bad either.
I loved the screen colors, a bit used, blurry, and the way the camera kept on filming other things than just the characters. I loved the fact that the movie has this "old" feeling in it, the cars, the fashion, the cellphones, the entire city and last but not least the studio. This room is well... a paradise for any fan of this old school vintage pop rock era, I'd love to take pictures in such a place.
I loved this heavy, thick atmosphere... It even brought tears in my eyes twice during the movie, which is really rare with me.
And the music, gosh, the music. When I first listened to LANDS album, Olympos, I didn't really like it. I sensed that it has a really good potential, but I needed that relation between the sound and the image. I needed to connect the scenes with the songs. Well, I just needed to watch the movie I guess. Now when I'll listen to Olympos, I know I'll have a different feeling toward it.
My favorite parts... well, when we discover Yukiya's talent, and all the scene on the beach with Asako. And then, when LANDS is about to be over when they play Hatachi no Sensô which is the song that pictures the movie best, to me.

Something is bothering me though. They got onto alcohol matters, a bit about sex (during 2seconds and no more but, hm, it's Japan after all), but didn't talk about drugs at all. However, 90's bands were kinda all doing it (think about Nirvana and such) so I thought it lacked a bit. Plus, it fits with Natsu's personality and pattern to me. I'm not pro-drugs at all, don't misread me I'm quite really against it actually, but it could have give the movie more realism...
And I must recognize that the plot itself is not extraordinarily original. Who cares if it works?

BUT. I loved it, and I think I'm going to buy he DVD because to me it worths the shot.
And I might watch it again tonight.

//and what?! A Paradise Kiss movie is going to be filmed? With Kitagawa Keiko as Caroline and Mukai Osamu as George? Weird choice for Jôji, but why not! I'm going to stalk news now :D
