OK, So I had a go...I didn't actually follow the tutorial so much as just steal the style :-\

I couldn't for the life of me find a rectangle selection tool, but I did all right :D

oooh, that's too awesome. great work! :) are you using ps instead of psp? because if so that's probably why you can't find the tool. other people can't seem to find one either. oh dear.
