The Doctor's Classroom, Most of the Day, Saturday 1/06

The Doctor had his little lamp on his head, as he was doing some fine tuning of the holo-projector technology.

The classroom door was open.

And the strains of 'Hey' by Honest Bob and the Factory to Dealer Incentives were echoing out into the hall, as the Doctor was playing music.

Dean had heard the music when he was out wandering and looked into the room to see what was going on.

The Doctor peered over. "Mr. Winchester, hello," he said. "Come in, sit down, have a banana." He gestured over at where a banana was sitting on a desk.

Dean grinned and came in. "Still trying to get it to work right," he asked, nodding towards the holo-projector.

"Could always do with a little more jiggery pokery," the Doctor said.

Jack had a small box in one hand, and was wearing a slightly bemused expression as he peered into the classroom. "I like your hat," he called over the music.

"I like my hat too," the Doctor said, sitting up. "Hello, Jack."

"Hey, Doctor." Jack wandered in, glancing around the room, then shrugged and held the box out. He still wasn't sure what had made him get the Doctor a gift. "Umm, so, merry Christmas. Very late merry Christmas."

"Oh, thank you," the Doctor said. "And here I am, feeling right foolish at not getting you anything." He scratched his chin. "I should probably rectify that, me."

Ellie took a deep breath and knocked on the door frame.

The Doctor looked up from his work and smiled. "Miss Arroway, hello!"

"Hello, Doctor," Ellie said. "I have a favor to ask you, if you're not too busy."

"Absolutely," the Doctor said, brushing off his jumper and standing. "What can I do for you?"

Passing by, Zack caught sight of what the doctor was doing and came in to see if he could get a better look.

"Mister Addy," the Doctor said, not looking up from his work. "What may I do for you?"

"I'm just curious about the holo-projectors," Zack replied. "I'm not quite sure they conform to the laws of physics."

[nine_and_ears]

"Conforming is overrated," the Doctor said. "You have to bend the rules. Even those of physics."
