The Cure - 4:13 Dream (album review type thing)
as per tradition i went out and bought the new cd by The Cure today, 4:13 Dream. i had it on my computer already, of course (because it came out in the rest of the world on oct 13....) but i always buy their cds on the day they come out, since 1992 LOL.
the cd is great, anyone who's a cure fan, or anyone who only likes "some" of the cure ("i only like disintegration" type people ;) ) you should get this cd, it's a mix of early and modern cure sound but not like their last album, much much better, in my opinion (4:13 Dream is).
i'm not going to go track by track here, but my favorites are the opening track "underneath the stars" (reminds me of "jupiter crash" for you cure fans reading this). my absolute favorite though is the song called "the reasons why", if you know me well enough, and you read the lyrics, then you'll understand ahem, well, the reasons why ;). some songs i don't care for so much, like "the real snow white", maybe it'll grow on me but not too big on that one right now. all of the singles i like, the last track "it's over", per robert's style, always having to make everything he does "the last thing" he does.. haha, great track though, the beginning reminds me of a faster version of "a forest", mixed with some Wish type guitar. energetic, sort of reminiscent of "end" (last track on Wish)
so, $9.99 at best buy, go get your copy ;).
on another note, it's so awesome that the crüxshadows are ahead of MADONNA on the dance charts (in europe) LOLOLOL (M.I.A. is #1, crux 2, madonna 3)
