Krystle & I on Halloween :)
My hair has gotten so long that I don't mind sparing an inch or two when I see my hair stylist next month. I've only seen her twice this year and while my hair grows slowly, it's definitely the longest it's ever been. Last Saturday, I ventured out to San Francisco with Stroe to see my favorite DJ spin. I don't know how long I've been waiting to see him live but finally, finally I got to see him - although we ended up leaving about ten minutes into his set! Oops. Still, it was a fun night and to top it off, I ate the best burrito EVER from some spot in the Mission. It was so on point.
I'm seeing Black Star at the Mezzanine next Wednesday which I am really looking forward to. I purchased some really cute Sam Edelman boots a few weeks ago which I have fallen in love with - they're so comfy! I want to wear them to the concert but I'm afraid of messing them up. It's silly, I know, but suede is pretty unforgiving material. Did someone say first world problems? I also found my new favorite jewelry line -
Dogeared. Their jewelry is really simple & cute which I love. Since all my jewelry was stolen (including my favorite MBMJ bow necklace), I have to start from scratch which I actually don't really mind. And besides, the only two pieces of jewelry that really mattered most to me (my MBMJ watch & this ring that my mom got for me in Malaysia) are still in my possession... I don't leave the house without them.
My sister-in-law's nieces have been visiting for the past month and I absolutely adore those kids. They're going back to the Philippines on Saturday and I am really sad. I really grew attached to both of them. Last Sunday, we had a Disney movie marathon. Frankie, who is 5 years old, is incredibly bright - she's an excellent speller (what 5 year old knows how to spell "communication" - seriously) and she's been reading since she was 3. She also has a head start on the sarcasm department so I know she's going to do just fine. ;)
I'm planning on taking one day off in December in order to finish ALL my Christmas shopping. It's a pretty ambitious goal but it's definitely doable. I love Christmas shopping in SF. And, by the way, I'm definitely changing... falling more in love with the city than ever. Who am I, seriously?
