october 20th is the meet-up at russian tea time~!
i've never had the chance to go so i'm really excited.
since this is a darker, classic restaurant - and an october/halloween meet, i wanted to wear something darker and possibly classic.
poison de lámour princess jumper skirt
i really liked this jumper from AatP but i never noticed it before. it's been listed for sale on the web shop for some time and is out of stock T^T but the details down the front are really nice and i think this style actually only looks good in black. the lace that goes up the bodice and around the neck seems distracting to me in other colors. the print is really pretty too, i like the muted almost sepia colors.

and i think this blouse would look really nice with the jsk too. i'm sure most people would pair the dress with a black blouse but i think this looks really pretty and the details are easier to see in a lighter color, plus it matches the sepia colors in the print. sadly this is also out of stock.
when an item is out of stock at the baby online shop you can send an email requesting the item and they will look through the other store inventory. if the item says "sold out" however then you're sunk. i've requested items several times in the past and they've always managed to find them for me. so i tried to request both this jsk and blouse only to get a reply that they are sold out... sad. i was hoping there were some more out there but no T^T
this is such a pretty coordinate too and i was looking at chunky cross jewelry and pendants to make accessories. bah-
so then i started looking again and i went back to meta.
Teddy Chocolatier Short Sleeve Dress
this thing is still for sale on the web shop @_@ it's not what i was looking for but i like it anyway.
i wanted it when the reserve was announced but was really uncertain of the color. meta needs to just welcome itself to the modern digital age and post better pictures. take better pictures and post better pictures - they suck.
i really like this dress in this color because it's busy but it doesn't burn your eyes. the lighter versions like the white and mint look so light on the web shop that the contrast was hard to look at. the bordeaux version might look good but again, the web shop photos make it look really light. also, i LOVE the golden tulle ruffle at the chest. it's also repeated in the bottom hem which looks really nice too. but i didn't reserve it, i was waiting for better pictures to be posted or someone out there in the lolita universe to buy it and post better pictures(someone may have but i didn't see it yet). the matching bonnet is really beautiful as well. again, i think it's the tulle that i really like about it.
so going back and forth on what to spend my money on i decided to go with this. but the bonnet was out of stock T^T so i started looking at more baby stuff and second hand places but nothing caught my eye. after getting the email about poison de lámour i went back to meta just to look.
Gobelins Teddy Print Velour Frill Pinafore Dress
i was thinking of this too but i liked the brown version much more - but the lace down the front was randomly white. then the matching headdress was sold out, then it was back but the dress gone @_@(the dress is back now fyi) so i went back to teddy chocolatier and omg the navy bonnet was back. i decided right there to get the OP and the bonnet and after checking out i went back to look at the bonnet and it was gone again. i got the last one - omg.
i hoped hoped hoped the colors were ok.
my items were shipped really quickly and in less than a week were already delivered to my house. sadly, it was a saturday and i was working. i waited all day sunday for monday to come so i could run to the post office and pick up my new dress. sadly... monday was columbus day... no mail... T^T i FINALLY picked it up after work and took it home~!

and the really pretty bottom hem. the tulle is made of white and gold thread twisted together then woven into the tulle pattern. the gold accents all over the print are shiny and add a nice shimmer. the only thing i wasn't expecting from the dress was the lack of built in petticoat. i'm used to angelic pretty and their pieces almost always have a built in peti.
now for the added accessories~ i do not own anything navy and the only thing i have that is brown are a pair of off brand boots.
here is a list of things i would like to get to match this dress:
both of the rings from AP would match nicely but i can't decide on the socks or wrist cuffs.
i really did not like the socks meta made for this print or the matching wrist cuffs so i'm going with AP.
overall i'm happy to have this dress and i'm excited to see everyone at the meet~!
