my DN avatars
let's talk about death note :D
i was looking through my files for images i could make into stamps when i ended up in an old icon folder. i used to love making web graphics, made them all the time but now i don't really have a reason to. i started making avatars or icons when i joined the forums at death-god.org. i'm still in the system over there and it says i joined Tue Nov 22, 2005 5:06 pm~~ sweet. i joined to talk about the manga, then news of a movie was announced. when the manga finished and the anime started there wasn't anything else to discuss so i left. most of the good chatters left too and it was just spam and forum games.
here is a selection of my favorite avatars from oldest to newest.

my first one ~this was after L died~ and i guess that is about the time i joined the forum. this was one of my favorite L cosplayers and it's funny because i didn't like the character that much. raito was my favorite for the entire series -ha. DIAGONAL SCAN LINES yay♥
this was a signature i made to match.
1) mikami and a smashing pumpkins quote ♥♥♥
2) L's toes~ i colored the manga and DIAGONAL SCAN LINES yay♥ ( i really really liked them)
3) awesome kira cosplay
4) matt and mello fan art. i was a big m&m fan and if mello wasn't in the story i think i would have stopped in the second half... near is so lame and i don't like the other characters.
5) mello's dead face :D i couldn't believe he died. he survives an explosion making him look and act so bad ass just to get killed by tacky with the death note in the end. lame.
6) from the pilot chapter~ i liked it and would have read more.
7) ryuku from the pilot. i liked this image a lot
8) HAL ♥ she needed a better role.
9) cosplay raito and the quote from the L game
10) more cosplay, i like that font.
11) THE MOVIE~! news of the movie spread and the website was finally launched. this is a screen shot of raito's desk and laptop.
12) another cosplayer~ she has pretty raito hair~~♥
13) i can't remember who it is now but there was an avatar maker who did ones like this. i really liked the coloring style and the action scenes so i tried one myself. i don't know how funny it is but i liked making it lol.
14) at this point in the story nothing is happening... there is nothing to work with expect the stupid cop characters (or misa *gag*) so i had ide and matsuda make fun of raito's name. i don't remember where it came from originally but "im a gay" was a standard DN joke.
15) lol, i like the tie fetish.

16) last chapter -awww- i thought the ending was good and it should have stopped. i don't like the very end where people are walking around in cloaks praying for kira or whatever... i don't like the hanging feeling but maybe the just needed an excuse to add a candle in the end *shrug* engrish for the wins
17) anime preview magazine scan~ fufufu, i was actually a little excited about the anime.
18) i gave the anime a shot and didn't like it :/ waaaaay to similar to the manga i just finished reading... maybe it gets better?
19) the last one i made, october 2006.
so that concludes my DN trip down memory lane~ i want to start reading the manga again.
