I love this time of the year, it's so nice to just curl up with my kitty and read a good book. Unfortunately, Annie doesn't really like her sweater, and hisses when I come near with it.
I've also gone on a cooking spree and helped make amazing mint chocolate cookies, coffee/mocha ones for fernando-since he's not been feeling too good, and yummy banana bread. I think I'm gunna make a key lime pie soon too. Yum.
I have to figure out something to take to meg's tonight, probably a drink if I feel like being lazy. It's ben great coming home and mostly hanging out wih my mommy. Her birthday was Friday, so I took the family out to lunch at Leaning Tower and am treating her to a movie of her choice @ the dollar theater on Tuesday. She picked 'Wedding Crashers'---it was that or '40 year old virgin'---she won't heed my warning. Apparently her tennis friends told her they are both funny, I'm just worried it's not her kind of humor, but hey, she picked it.
Watched part of 'March of the Penguins" last night with fernando n his family (except Mauricio)They are so cute!! His poor mom's been trying to get ready for their family friends that get in today from Colombia. Although they didn't have the heater on, it wasn't that bad. I borrowed a jacket from fernando and stayed mostly under the blankies. Unfortunately, I fell asleep and woke up @ 3:20. I got home, and I don't think my parents realized I was out that late. They haven't given me a curfew yet, but I'm sure if they realized I got home that late, they'd start wanting to enforce a 12:30 or 1 curfew. :(
Did anyone else loose power last night?? The power on our street went out-only our street. The people on Shannon Lakes had power!! It was very baffling and kinda funny as I left for fernando's I saw people running around with candles and flashlights in their homes.
Oh and perhaps I can get our hot tub running this winter. I got all excited on (I think it was) Wednesday night, fernando and Layne and I decided to run into her spa/hot tub at her apartment. Too bad the water wasn't heated up. We decided to sit and wait a bit in towels and bathing suits. It was pretty chilly. I'm still sore from shivering-it's either from that or tennis I played wednesday morning.
Brrr.....I think I'm going to go take a nice warm bath.....
