What is this 'work ethic' you speak of, and can I eat it?
Well... I got SOME work done this weekend. Not at all the amount I had HOPED I would accomplish. Once again I've socialized WAY too much this weekend, BUT for perfectly legitimate reasons, mind you. Sure, Seven Samurai is a three hour and a half long movie, but it's an awesome movie. It's like 300 only they didn't need 300 soldiers, no, just seven really bad ass samurai. Yup, the Japanese are efficient like that. AND it has slash! Trust me on this, young-naive-samurai-whose-name-I-can't-remember totally wanted awesome-bad-ass-samurai-whose-name-was-only-mentioned-once's "sword"... in THAT way... "Oh awesome-guy, you're magnificent and incredibly awesome and I totally want you inside me but since you're not around I'll just have to have sex with this crazy village-girl chick who keeps sending me mixed signals."...
Charles, Rachel, and I agree that the formula for ANY anime adaptation of a classical piece of work, be it Seven Samurai or The Count of Monte Cristo, is to just add giant robots and set it in outer space...
Dammit, now I just want to shirk my work and go read me some pervy fanfiction. For many of you, Spring Break will be a time of rest and relaxation. For ME however, it'll be the week I plan on getting the bulk of this shit done, for I will be home and away from the distraction of friends. Uh, except for hanging out with Liz and Ani. And spending a day at Anime Boston. BUT, for the most part, my family is boring and my brother is virtually grafted to the Xbox360 so no Mass Effect for me, no sir!
Meh, I might as well call it a night. I still have all of Monday to- aw dammit, frickin' Media Arts. What I thought was going to be an easy class is starting to annoy the crap out of me for something I put so little effort into. I still need to edit my last project which was due maybe two, three weeks ago? But I have to get up at a decent hour tomorrow so I can harass people with a video camera. Fun...
Also, wow! My roommates sure have a lot of drama going on right now. I would assume it's all part of the sorority lifestyle, but geezus! Makes me glad that my semester has been drama-less. Although, maybe if I were mad at people it'd prompt me to sit in my room and sketch instead of hanging out with friends. Oh well, I SUPPOSE I'll just have to deal with it...
Now, if you excuse me, I'm going to attempt to see if anyone has written Seven Samurai fanfiction...
