How to spend a day at the airport when you're supposed to be on a 2 hours flight

A guide by me

So yesterday was my flight to Sweden. I had a ticket for a plane at 12.20 and was supposed to be in Gothenburg at 2pm where Josie wanted to pick me up. It was Lina's birthday yesterday as well and we were all looking forward to meeting up again on her birthday. For the record: It's been December 2006 since da Inas all were at one place for the last time. =(

Flo went to work later and brought me to the airport, I checked in....and didn't get a seat. O.o The computer told me that I'm on the waiting list and that I should go and check with the gate. I checked in my luggage and the guy at the counter told me to check with the gate to get my seat. So I went to the counter and they just told me that yeah, I'll have to wait but there are passengers who're gonna be late so there's no problem for me to get on the plane. Oh well, in the end they made it and I was not on the plane. As one of two people. O.o And the only solution they offered was to put me on the next flight which would leave at 10pm so I'd be in Gothenburg at midnight. O.o Go fuck yourself! I missed Lina's birthday because of them and all I got was a lousy 30 euro voucher for food at the airport, a taxi ride from the airport in Gothenburg to my youth hostel and an apology that they ruined my day. O.o
I mean, in the end they put me on a flight to Brussels and I took another flight to Gothenburg from there so at least I was in Gothenburg at 9pm and in Boras (my destination) at 10pm...but still. Holy shit!
They put me into business class on both flights but since it's lufthansa, it wasn't much more comfortable. The only difference was that I got non-vegetarian food for free. O.o In Brussels they made a lot of fuss about me. I was called out over the microphone and had a call from Gothenburg where they wanted to know all the details for arranging my cap to the youth hostel.
In Gothenburg they were cute though. When I collected my suitcase and then looked for the Lufthansa help desk, there was a woman running towards me, telling me that everything is arrange. They tried to call Lina about twenty times but she didn't answer and then a man called telling them where I'll stay. O.o I couldn't make much sense out of it. In the hall, there was a taxi driver standing with a sign that had my name on it and the woman accompanied me there. I finally, finally got to my destination at 10pm. O.o *le sigh*
Lina was squeaky (it's been her birthday and they played in a Laserdome! Now how unfair is that?!?) and we talked a lot and slammed TimTams. =) I felt way better then. Though the reception was closed and I couldn't get sheets anymore. *lol* Oh well, it worked without it for one night.
