The new chapter of Relict is up here. I know. I'm as shocked as anyone.

On a possibly petty note, should I feel slighted that my fic didn't get picked up by who_daily? I figure I'm getting fewer readers because I've been so bad about updating, but I did think they watched better_with_3.

Why not ask for your fic journal to be on the w_d watch list? As for missing stuff, it can happen sometimes. A couple of friends of mine are editors, and I hear from them what a long job it can sometimes be - eg skip=240 occasionally! - so human error can slip in. Or a story can be posted between the last refresh of the w_d flist and the posting of that day's newsletter, so it doesn't get picked up by that one and the next one misses it because it's below the newsletter post.

If you're ever missed out again, just post a comment and they'll add your chapter.

I wasn't terribly worried. I've been toying with the idea of posting to dwfiction, but I haven't looked into it yet. My stuff isn't really time_and_chips stuff (and I've left that community anyway), so I don't know that there are too many other options.

This is why I never made a living as a graphic designer. I hate pushing my own stuff.
