The British Film Council has just certified additional materials (at least a director's commentary, possibly more) for Shallow Grave. The 15th Anniversary Edition, perhaps? That's terrifying, as I do remember seeing this in the theatre, but why has it taken this long?! I know that Trainspotting gets more attention, but I thought it was overrated at the time and still do. Like Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs vs. Pulp Fiction, the small, well-constructed, beautifully acted first features far exceeds the splashy, sensationalistic follow-up because it's carefully made and not so show-offy. That shot of David in the attic with the light coming up through all the holes has been copied so often now, it suffers from comparisons, but that was shocking at the time.
