Why didn't you tell me about this sooner?  :-)

Now if only it could have somehow spread to Bill's office on Riverside.  tsk tsk

That is almost scary. James works within a mile of the facility and was unaware of a haz mat fire down the street. I guess if the wind had been blowing in that direction, they would have been evacuated.

I'm curious to see the outcome of this. Even if that drum with the toxic marking was empty and triple rinsed, they will still be in a load of trouble. To be considered non regulated, the drum would need the markings removed or spray painted over. Not taking a can of paint and spraying over that Toxic sticker is a huge no no in this industry. Obviously you can see why...nobody had a way of knowing if the drum was safe or hazardous.

What a complete dumbass. Jeff Rothwell had a successful broker business and then decided to take on huge liability and operate his own waste facility. He let ego get the best of him. I swear he did it to get back at Bill Hartley for firing him all those years ago. What better way than to buy the facility that Bill couldn't handle and run it? I imagine his insurance rates are going to skyrocket so high now that he will be forced to close it. There were rumors a few months ago that he was looking for buyers. Good luck with that buddy.

If I sound at all spiteful it is because of how rude Jeff was to me when I worked at USL. He thought nothing of using abusive language over the phone when he didn't get his way. My last day there he started to curse at me again, and I stopped him and basically told him to go to hell (but in a nice way of course).
