nin_quick Update
- I traded in the trusty old Maxima for a new Pathfinder yesterday. She had rolled over 100,000 miles and all the repairs to replace worn out parts were starting to add up. Plus, we really needed something that would make working around the house easier. It is a bit hard to put bales of pine straw, bags of mulch, lumber, etc., in the back of a car without eventually doing some damage. I will say that it is nice to not have that annoying pull to the right, though I dread putting gas in it.
- Tomorrow afternoon I get another LASIK correction on my left eye. Part of me is looking forward to seeing clearly. Everything has a fuzz and I cannot read street signs or see well at night. The other part of me dreads it just because I know how uncomfortable it can be. Today I started putting the antibiotic drops in my eyes so now they feel dry and irritated. I put on eyeliner and mascara today lamenting that I won't get to do that again for a while. What really sucks is that at the end of the month we are headed down to St. Petersburg for a wedding. It will be on the beach and I will need to wear some sort of eye protection to prevent any sand or salt from getting in my eye. bah
- Today it is raining and only in the hid 60's outside. A rather yucky day really. The temperature made me feel like it was February in Florida.
- Tickets for the fair go on sale soon. That is really weird to get used to. I had just finally got used to the fair being every February and March. Now I must revert back to October again. I will miss the Strawberry Festival :-(
