Progress: Episode 9 Updated

Unknown:

~ Carole and Gustav Saint Germain talking aboard a train. (Clues: occurs before their later conversation regarding "the story", but they may or may not have caught hint of "the story" at this point, so it has the potential of happening anytime before, during, or after 1930.) [Episode 1]

~ Firo Prochainezo's encounter with the homeless man (Clues: he is already an executive of the New York City based Martillo family and immortal, yet, Hat-sama is mysteriously absent from his head. His presence also seems older than the rest of his scenes, like he is more experienced, so this scene could literally fall anywhere in the timeline after the "incident" in November 1930.) [Episode 1]

~ The Daily Days catches hint of the existence of the liquor of immortality, beginning with new information gathered about the suspicious events of 1930, and starts their investigation into the matter. (Clues: some time after 1930, as it would have taken a while to uncover the truth.) [Episode 1]

~ Isaac Dian gets his ear cut, with Miria Harvent, Ennis, Jacuzzi Splot, Nice Holystone, Donny & several others in Jacuzzi's gang, Chane Laforet, and several unknown people present. (Clues: Isaac is immortal, and the fact that Ennis is there alongside Jacuzzi&co suggests this occurs after the Flying Pussyfoot arrives in 1932.) [Episode 1]

~ Carole and Gustav Saint Germain discuss how one might present the story of those effected by the liquor of immortality and all related events to an audience. (Clues: definitely during or after 1932, as they are aware of the tragedy aboard the Flying Pussyfoot and Eve Genoard's search for her brother.) [Episode 1]

1711:

~ Szilard Quates complains to everyone gathered in the dining area of the Advena Avis about how summoning a demon was heresy and questions everyone's support of Maiza. Fermet, who is looking after Czeslaw Meyer, explains that acquiring immortality was every alchemist's dream and if he succeeded, Maiza Avaro would become a famous alchemist, but Szilard Quates still thinks it was nonsense. Elmer C. Albatross stands and tells everyone to laugh and smile. Fermet comforts an anxious Czeslaw Meyer by resting a hand upon his head. [Episode 7]

~ Gerd Avaro converses with Sylvie Lumiere in a room on board the Advena Avis, about the danger involved in his brother's plans to summon a demon and whether or not immortality is really something that humanity needs. Sylvie Lumiere says she supports the summoning if it would bring them closer to the elixir of immortality, but Gerd Avaro tells her that immortality shouldn't automatically be thought of as a beautiful thing, and says that he would happily live a regular lifespan with her by his side. Sylvie Lumiere is also willing to give up immortality if it meant she could be with him and she would not be afraid. [Episode 7]

~ Huey Laforet walks into the room after overhearing much of Gerd Avaro and Sylvie Lumiere's conversation. He tells them that there was no need for them to fear and quotes from the Emerald Tablet, which Gerd Avaro continues after he falls silent. The quote, which pushes the idea that everything in the world has similar origins, aids Huey's belief that the demon was not necessarily evil, and it was the same with black magic. Gerd Avaro asks Huey Laforet if he was afraid, but Huey Laforet just explains that he is extremely interested in seeing how things would change once they obtained the elixir of immortality and is looking forward to it. He chuckles a bit when his answer leaves the other two silent. [Episode 7]

~ Maiza Avaro carves an alchemic circle into the floor of the Advena Avis crossing the Altantic ocean with Nile and Beg Garoto witnessing. He tells them to gather everyone together. [Episode 1+7]

~ Once everyone has gathered in the room, Maiza Avaro announces to them that he is unsure if the summoning is the right thing to do, but he was taught the ritual by a man who apparently summoned a demon 300 years ago and had not aged at all since his grandfather's time. (This is likely in reference to Nicholas Flamel) Maiza Avaro says he believes that the elixir would bring more happiness than pain to humanity, and he, Denkro Togo, and Gerd Avaro stand within the circle. Maiza Avaro begins to recite the chant of summoning, but before he can finish, a disembodied voice tells him to stop already. [Episode 7]

~ The demon, appearing as a flickering silhouette on a pillar, dislikes summoning chants and tells them that they only have to think about him and he would be there, and also complains about being called a demon, and would prefer to go by no name at all. The demon suddenly transports Maiza Avaro to a separate dimension and teaches only him the method to create the elixir. When he returns to the ship, he is holding a pot of liquid, which the demon explains will grant those who drank it eternal youth, but would only explain the rest once everyone decided to drink or not. Szilard Quates comes forward first, wanting to end the farce quickly, and after noticing no difference in his body, announces that it was a lie. The demon proves it to be true by decapitating him and letting everyone watch him recover. Everyone else rushes forward for their share except for Sylvie Lumiere, who hangs back, unsure. The demon tells them all to settle down because there was enough for all of them. The only people to hesitate before drinking are Sylvie Lumiere and Gerd Avaro, but Gerd Avaro drinks after seeing his brother drink, and Sylvie Lumiere raises the cup to her lips as well. [Episode 7]

~ The demon then tells everyone the rules of immortality. There was only one way to die: to have another immortal place their right hand upon their head and have them wish to "eat" them, and they would receive all the knowledge and memories of the now dead immortal. An immortal could share knowledge with another immortal by placing their right hand upon the others hand and wish to transfer the information. Also, immortals could not use aliases with another immortal around, otherwise they would never be able to locate other immortals. Before he leaves, he tells everyone that if they wanted to learn how to make the elixir themselves, they would have to ask Maiza Avaro. [Episode 7]

~ The morning after the summoning, Maiza Avaro announces to everyone in the dining area that he would seal away the recipe for the elixir of immortality, and Szilard Quates is outraged. Maiza Avaro says that he had thought about it all night long, but came to the conclusion that unleashing it upon the world would be dangerous, but Szilard Quates believes it should be made public because of the danger. Maiza Avaro, however, confesses that he cannot be so trusting. Elmer C. Albatross agrees with Maiza Avaro, saying he had a vague sense that it would be best to keep the number of immortals at a minimum, and Fermet adds that they could change their mind at any time in the future. Gerd Avaro, Sylvie Lumiere, Denkro Togo, and Czeslaw also stand in support of Maiza Avaro, among most of the others. Huey Laforet suspends his vote, saying that he wasn't comfortable making a decision due to a lack of information and only vague feelings on the matter. Szilard Quates asks when they could expect his answer, and Huey Laforet replies that it could be in a hundred or two hundred years, but even then, it wouldn't be too late to decide to create the elixir again. Maiza Avaro thanks everyone for their support and says he would keep the information on the elixir in his home for the time being. Szilard Quates, however, is not pleased. [Episode 7]

~ Maiza Avaro invites his brother into his room to speak with him, confessing that he regretted summoning the demon because the world was not ready for the elixir, and it would only cause violence and suffering between people who would have otherwise loved one another. When Gerd Avaro asks him what he was thinking, Maiza Avaro confides in him that he was thinking about "eating" Szilard Quates because they were similar, and he had to be thinking of "eating" him as well. Maiza Avaro's main goal with the elixir was to have a truly wonderful person drink it so they could bring happiness and peace to the world for all eternity, but worries that he would be killed before fulfilling that dream, and so decides to give Gerd Avaro half of his knowledge just in case, so he would be able to recreate the elixir himself one day. Gerd Avaro does not think he is worthy of such responsibility, but Maiza Avaro explains that he was the only one on the ship he could trust with the information because he still had a pure heart. Still full of doubt, Gerd Avaro allows his brother to place his right hand on his head and impart the wisdom. Maiza Avaro thanks his brother as a cloaked figure that had been eavesdropping on their conversation through the keyhole gets up and walks away. [Episode 7]

~ Maiza Avaro leaves Gerd Avaro alone and enters Szilard Quates' room, having made up his mind to "eat" him. Just as he is about to pull away the sheets to expose his head, however, he is stopped by Elmer C. Albatross standing in the doorway, who tells him to stop because doing things that way wasn't right. Maiza Avaro argues that it was only a matter of time before Szilard Quates made his move, but Elmer C. Albatross says that while the "eating" would begin eventually, he didn't want Maiza Avaro to be the one to start it. He takes Maiza Avaro's hand and says that they should laugh and have faith in that even Szilard Quates could change one day. Maiza is amused, but suddenly comes to the realization that Szilard Quates was not actually in the bed. He had put pillows under the sheets to make it seem like he was sleeping. [Episode 7]

~ Szilard Quates, the cloaked figure, had waited for Maiza Avaro to leave Gerd Avaro alone in the room before he entered and tied him up. As Gerd Avaro begs for his life, Szilard Quates tells him that this would be Maiza Avaro's punishment for keeping the knowledge to himself. [Episode 7]

~ Szilard Quates tells Gerd Avaro that if he should blame anything for his death, it should be his unlucky fate being born as Maiza Avaro's younger brother, and places his right hand upon his head. [Episode 7]

~ Gerd Avaro calls out to Sylvie Lumiere just before he is "eaten". [Episode 7]

~ An unearthly light shines through a keyhole. Someone on the other side has just been "eaten". [Episode 7]

~ Maiza Avaro and Elmer C. Albatross run through the ship. [Episode 7]

~ Maiza Avaro and Elmer C. Albatross enter Maiza's room, only to find Gerd Avaro's clothes lying on a chair among some rope. Elmer C. Albatross attempts to console Maiza Avaro, but he is too angry to mourn, and just gets him to help him search for Szilard Quates. [Episode 7]

~ A man named Pierre gets "eaten" on board the Advena Avis by a cloaked figure, who flees the scene before his is discovered. [Episode 7]

~ Pierre's clothes are discovered by other travelers on board the ship who say the Italo had also gone missing. They hear some noise from above and see a cloaked figure on the deck, so one of them climb halfway up the stairs to investigate. The cloaked figure rushes back over and "eats" the man, his clothes fluttering down where more people have gathered. [Episode 7]

~ Those who witnessed the vanishing of the man from the stairs begin to run in panic, shouting about a monster on the ship. They run into Sylvie Lumiere, and she worries about Gerd Avaro, but none of them stick around to tell her if he is safe. [Episode 7]

~ Nile, Fermet & Czeslaw, Beg Garoto, Denkro Togo, and Huey overhear the commotion. [Episode 7]

~ Sylvie Lumiere walks through the ship fearfully, heading for Gerd Avaro's room. [Episode 7]

~ Sylvie Lumiere approaches Gerd Avaro's room, but as she reaches for the doorknob, a cloaked figure descends the stairway and pushes her against the door. She turns around to face her attacker and he puts his right hand upon her head. [Episode 7]

~ The cloaked figure is revealed to be Szilard Quates, who is looking forward to "eating" a young woman, and mentions that, while he should have lost the capacity for sexual desire a long time ago, there was a voice inside of him that longed for her. While Sylvie Lumiere crosses her arms over her chest, Szilard Quates realizes that Gerd Avaro must have been in love with her. Sylvie Lumiere asks him what he meant by that. [Episode 7]

~ Szilard Quates tells Sylvie Lumiere that he's having a lot of fun, gaining all kinds of experiences, knowledge, and desires, and says that there was no limit on the things he could learn. He wanted to learn more and "eat" more. Sylvie Lumiere asks in horror if he had "eaten" Gerd Avaro. [Episode 7]

~ Szilard Quates tells Sylvie Lumiere to relax and surrender because they would soon be together again inside of him, and Sylvie screams out loud, demanding to know if he had "eaten" Gerd Avaro. [Episode 7]

~ Szilard Quates attempts to "eat" Sylvie Lumiere, but it is revealed that she hadn't drank the elixir after all, so the attempt fails. Nile appears out of nowhere, hacking off Szilard Quates' right arm with his sword. While Szilard Quates heals, Nile vows to kill him. Szilard Quates trys to grab Nile's head, but is fended off by another swing, and is dodged when Szilard Quates flips over his head and runs up the stairs as Nile pursues. [Episode 7]

~ Maiza and Elmer C. Albatross catch up and see Sylvie Lumiere, who had sunk to her knees. When she and Maiza Avaro meet eyes, but he doesn't say anything before running after Nile, that was all the confirmation Sylvie Lumiere needed to know that Gerd Avaro had been "eaten" by Szilard Quates after all and she begins to cry. Elmer C. Albatross stays with her a little while longer, telling her to laugh, but when she only cries harder, he realizes it wasn't the best thing to say and instead tells her that he would go and try to convince Szilard Quates. Sylvie Lumiere, however, does not believe that there was any part of Szilard Quates that would be convinced. Elmer C. Albatross assures her that it wasn't impossible and follows after Maiza Avaro as Sylvie Lumiere calls out to him. [Episode 7]

~ Szilard Quates is cornered at the bow of the ship by Nile and another man as Maiza Avaro approaches, telling him that he would no longer hesitate. However, they are interrupted by Elmer C. Albatross, who calls out to them and catches their attention by doing a handstand on the edge of the ship. Before he can say anything, however, he slips, hits his head, and falls into the ocean. Maiza is distracted with concern for his friend, and Szilard takes the opportunity to attempt to "eat" him, but Nile reacts faster, cutting off Szilard's arm again and knocking him into the ocean as well. They all run to where Elmer C. Albatross fell to attempt to pull him back on board. [Episode 7]

~ As Elmer C. Albatross sinks deeper into the ocean, he has a conversation with the demon Maiza Avaro had summoned on the ship. The demon is amused by how Elmer C. Albatross had attempted to win Szilard Quates' affection with such a silly gesture, and decides to grant him one wish. Elmer C. Albatross tells him that he wasn't an Arabian genie, but the demon reminds him that it would be only one wish, not three. Elmer C. Albatross accepts and makes his wish. [Episode 7]

~ Elmer C. Albatross wakes up on board the Advena Avis with everyone gathered around him. He learns what had happened to Szilard Quates, who probably would not be able to return to the ship in his condition. Elmer C. Albatross is disappointed, truly believing that he would have been able to get him to come to his senses, then turns his attention to Sylvie Lumiere, and, admitting it was bad timing, asks her to put a smile on. Sylvie Lumiere smiles wryly and tells him that she never thought he even had a chance to convince Szilard of anything, gets up, and walks away. Elmer C. Albatross, however, is still not ready to give up on him. [Episode 7]

~ Standing at the back of the ship and staring into the open ocean, Sylvie Lumiere examines her share of the elixir of immortality, which she had stored in a vial, and says Gerd Avaro's name. [Episode 7]

~ Huey Laforet, who had been watching the events on the deck from the crow's nest, is visited by the demon Maiza Avaro summoned, appearing as a shadow on the sails. The demon mentions that he never would have thought it would start so soon, but accepts it as his own fault, since he knew from the start that humans were greedy creatures. Huey Laforet demands to know why he was talking to him, and the demon replies it was because they were both spectators in this situation. The demon whimsically adds that he thought "it" would happen this time, but when Huey Laforet asks him what he meant by that, the demon doesn't answer. Huey Laforet tells the demon that it was almost like he was execting them to do something important, but the demon tells him not to rush things, since they would be stuck together for a long time to come, and leaves Huey Laforet's side. [Episode 7]
