The ex girlfriend
“Come on Julie, we have to hurry. I don’t care that you can’t hear what’s going on - we’re leaving now”
“But Holly - it doesn’t work like that - I can’t get these open with all these voices.”
Julie struggled with the handcuffs around her wrists, as she used a bobby pin from her hair to get them off. Her long blond hair was tied up in intricate curls, and looked elegant. She looked frantic, and her face showed fingerprints where she had been slapped.
Holly sitting in an office chair that would slide across the floor when ever she pushed off with her feet. The dress she wore to the party earlier was wrinkled and torn, and her black hair was falling out of place into her face.
“God damn it Julie, you have to get out of those damn handcuffs because this tape,” she struggled with her wrists, “Is killing me.”
“Don’t fucking yell at me. You are the one who wanted to come here. You started the right; just look at yourself. You’ve got blood on your face from HER nails. If I hadn’t stepped in you would be gone right now. That Big ugly oaf of a guard, she has hurt me.” Julie stopped and listened, CLICK- one of the handcuffs opened, and she smiled. “Now what were you saying?”
“Get me out of here.” She threw her hair back and started at her. “You look beautiful when you’re angry.”
“Holly now is not the time to flatter me- you brought me here to see HER, and I…” She paused, glared at holly and tried to come up with the words, “and I, I just don’t know what to think of you right now.” Julie walked over to holly now very glad for the noise of the party outside the door. She took her time taking the tape off of Holly’s struggling hands.
“Why are you taking so long? I hate it when you play games like this, just get it off and then we can leave.”
Julie looked up and saw the light from the keyhole disappear. The handle of the door began to move, and she ran back to the bookshelf she had been handcuffed to and re-cuffed herself.
A woman with red hair, and a long black evening gown, looking refreshed glided into the room with a woman in leather at her heels.
“You thought you could show up here and try to teach me a lesson, or to show off your new girlfriend?” The woman walked towards Julie, and inspected her, looking hat her face, and running her hands along Julie’s bare arms. She whispered from burgundy lips smelling of red wine, “Skin so soft, you should join me instead.”
Julie pulled away but the woman in leather came to push her back towards the woman.
“Leave her alone Anne, you don’t want to do this to her.” Holly struggled to get up from the chair- fighting the tape even more so then she had been before. “Julie- don’t listen to her, she’s lying.”
A man came in and wrapped a big hairy hand over Holly’s mouth, and he made her watch as Anne continued to run her hands along Julie’s body. The woman in leather continued to hold Julie because Julie was struggling.
Holly began to cry as Anne became worse to Julie. Anne walked over to holly. Anne disregarded Julie, and allowed the woman in leather to hit her across the face, for trying to move the second time. Holly glared at Anne with disgust. The man uncovered Holly’s mouth, and she worded to Julie that she was sorry.
“Holly you know better then to have tried to come here, you knew this would happen, you should have ignored the invitation, you always were the jealous type.” Anne bent down to kiss holly, and as her lips were getting close to Hollys…
…
“NO get away from me!” Holly thrashed around.
“Holly! Holly.” Julie held Holly down to the bed, and waited for her eyes to open. “Sweetie you were talking in your sleep, well more like screaming. Do you want to tell me about it?”
Holly sat up in bed and looked at her wrists and then at Julie, she brought her hand up and ran her fingers through Julies curly hair and just said, “ that was a close call, we’re not going to Anne’s party tonight, I just have a feeling about it.”
