What a weekend!

It's been a crazy and fantastic weekend, full of new experiences, and i just wanted to write it down before i forget about it all.

Friday started out with us setting off driving to Blackpool for a day at the pleasure beach.  We arrived and bought our wristbands, and still had a while til the pleasure beach opened, so we had a look around ripleys believe it or not which was good fun, if a little dark and creepy in places!

After that we headed down to the pleasure beach, and managed to be the 3rd and 4th people in! Headed straight over to the grand national to go on that, which was fun - our side won!!  Then we went onto the boat ride, which although it's not designed to be scary, really freaked me out.  My overactive imagination had me convinced that things were going to jump out of the shadows at me.  From there we went across to the big one.  There was barely any queue there, so we waited an extra couple of mins so that we could go on the front, and wow it was worth it!  By the time we got off, my throat was already starting to get sore from screaming, but of course that didn't stop us running straight back round to go on again (on the front again of course!)  After that we spent the rest of the day going round more of the rides, which included me going on the revolution twice in a row (maybe not my best idea ever, by the time i got off the 2nd time i was feeling quite sick!), both of us going on the big one again (in the middle this time, which was a hell of a lot rougher than going on at the front), and then heading off to the hotel to book in and get ready to go out for the night.

We got changed and headed down to the hotel bar, planning to have a drink before getting a taxi up to the other end of town for dinner and a lot more to drink, however, Master decided that the restaurant in the hotel looked good, so we had a stunning meal, and plenty of wine.

After this we did get a taxi, up to a karaoke bar, where i ended up singing a couple of times, which was great fun - i really should sing more often!  From there we went to a couple of other bars, before ending up in a lapdancing club, where Master bought me a dance, which was an interesting experience!!!! We stayed there for a few more drinks, then headed back to the hotel to crash out.

Saturday morning we woke up and had breakfast.  Our plan was to spend a couple of hours looking around blackpool before heading back home to manc, although this didn't quite end up happening.  First of all we headed up to the tower, where we both took the walk of faith, which was a scary experience, 380ft up in the air with clear glass under your feet, and some twisted soul had drawn a chalk outline of a body and the word "ouch" on the roof of one of the buildings below!!  It was good fun though!  We decided that we would go to the circus as well, as our entry tickets to the tower included it, but we had about an hour spare before that started, so we headed up to the Dr Who exhibition.  "Luckily" for us, we had picked a day when there were some of the monsters from the new series of Dr Who wondering around, which made me feel rather uncomfortable.  I've never liked people in costumes where you can't see their faces, and it seems that one of the cybermen picked up on my discomfort, and made a point of freaking me out every time he saw me!  I also got stared at by an alien with glowing red eyes, which was not fun!! lol

It was interesting to see all the monsters from the old series of Dr Who, but the new ones wondering around didn't make much sense to me (i'm a late comer to the Doctor, only just started watching with the latest series).

So we headed back to the tower for the circus which was great fun, even Master was laughing at the clowns!  Then we headed back home, although ended up not staying home for long, as we went straight out again to Toys r us as Master wanted to buy the new lego programmable robot making kit.  While we were there, I got Master's birthday presents - a sonic screwdriver, and a tardis mug.

So then back home to watch Dr Who, eat kebabs, and get an early night.

Sunday morning we got up, and decided to head to the Dr Who exhibition in manchester which was good.  Although when we arrived, we sawthere was a huge queue of people waiting to get in, which didn't look good.  However, Master had already decided that we were going to get season tickets, so we could go back later in the year when there was things from series three there.  Having the season tickets meant that we didn't have to queue to get in, we just walked straight through.  It was a good exhibition, although a little small and busy when we were there - though they will be adding things from the latest series, which will make it bigger.  It was good fun to get to see things up close, and of course we couldn't leave without Master buying a cyberman tshirt and poster.

After that we headed to the shops, to buy food for the birthday meal i was cooking for Master, then headed home for my "Dr Who Education" to start - we've started watching series one from the start, and watched the creepiest episodes, which were very scary, but had Captain Jack in them, so i was a happy bunny!! lol.

So that was the weekend!
