Sleepless nights of the grandest kind....
Well, saturday morning i wake up to sean (amy's ex, mutual friend) calling me saying amy (who is 25 weeks/5 some months pregnant) has had 3 seizures and is in the hospital with devon (dad and bf). I kinda go a tad a numb, gather my junk and head for sean's apartment. His housemate Sara is also a longtime friend of ours.
Aside from this tight circle, we also have an extensive group of friends online. (RuneScape clan... hell, we're like family we're so close...) So Sean n I turned into infromation central with Devon at the hospital giving us a call every once in a while. We run down our cell phone lists and tell people the news, tell our clan and camped up all night. We got calls saying amy had 3 more sezuires at the hospital and they were doing an emergency c-section to deliver the baby girl.
Amy woke up twice today and was responsive both times so things seem to be alright that the sezuires didn't cause any brain damage. There's a possibility she had a stroke with one of the seizures and they're still looking into that now. She'll be in ICU for a good long while, we're lookin at close to a month now, and little Ashleigh could be there anywhere from 3 months to a year.
So yes, i'm running one the 3 hours of sleep i got on sean's sofa last night and the half hour i passed out on my bed this afternoon. Devon's on my couch right now fast asleep (lord knows he needs it more than i do) and we're all just sitting tight. *nods*
