Math Debater
so last night on fnx, Keith's Stupid Game was "the Math Debater" with the appropriate and disturbing intro of sexual turn-ons by numbers that goes with it. Anyway, it's a game where they give you a math problem to solve and the guy who gets it first and calls in wins. I think it's a pretty cool idea. It honors us nerds.
Anyway, in case you want to do the problem (it's over of course, it's a radio game- it's over in minutes) just for fun. (I know, math for fun!?) it was this:
It takes 9 large pipes 8 minutes to drain a lake and it takes 6 small pipes 16 minutes to drain the same lake. How long does it take 3 large pipes and 5 small pipes to drain that same lake?
Sadly for me, it took me way longer than the guy who got it. (In my defense, i don't do a lot of math everyday.) Luckily for me, my kids can go to Katie when they have issues in math and I can go back to sipping my martini. :-p
