well, tomorrow is the special olympics bowling tournament. the greater worcester one, not the big state one. this is essentially "trials" for the two day one in march. i think my mom is preparing for her walk of shame. last year in february she beat both my (and katie's) team and fred (and ben's) team during the trials, making sure to point out that her team even played in a higher-scoring group. blah, blah, blah. so when in march, fred's team was in her group of averages, and they placed first to her team's fourth (which in s.o. is the worst you can do at bowling despite the fact that they do make eighth place ribbons) we really let her have it. pictures of the "walk of shame" ensued. to add isnult to injury, my team also won first place. so there she was surrounded by fake gold medals to her white ribbon.
then next week is the passion plunge. fred and i are both jumping, wading, running scared, turning blue, however you want to look at it. a lot of our friends and family came through for us and with the great help of my mom and her office, we raised a lot of money. it was surprising. fred and i hate raising money because of previous burns when people don't give to your cause. i understand, it's hard to give to everything. but witht his event we have done well. thanks to those of you helped! and as we promised, pictures of the cold and wet. that was my gift for donators. after all, if i donated money, i'd want a picture of the sufferer. i mean, good-willed! good-willed!
maybe now i can say as many biggoted things as i want and still get into heaven. or at least not go to hell? it's tough keeping your karma balanced. ;)
and this year, if we do the summer olympics, i am getting my hand on an eighth place ribbon. i should've asked for one last year but i didn't. and i don't know why because they had a whole box of them. if i find a smiley volunteer who looks like they're into a good joke i will be sure to ask them and tell them that i want to bring back an eighth place ribbon to my team and cry and cry as a good joke. and you know, if you know me at all, that's exactly what i would do with it. oh, eighth place ribbon, somebody loves you and your shiny orange exterior!
plunge,
bowling,
special olympics
