Maxim: I don't know if I believe what she said, but something disturbs me...

Luck has not been on my side since I started working. Today we had another training meeting. Training doesn't count towards utilization buy whatever I'm not "making up for it" because I don't work extra for free, though I do charge in my lunch time which makes it look like I'm working extra and all I need to do is eat at my desk so the supervisors see the top of my head and know I'm there, but they can't see that I'm eating since the cubicle wall goes up to my nose. Not that eating isn't allowed, people can eat and work, except I was only eating.

So yeah the point is that this place is supposed to be all controlled and blah, and we go in and out with key cards and we can't even go past the parking lot without them, etc. Yet somehow, while I was at the meeting there were girl scouts walking around the cubicle maze selling cookies. What?! O.o;; I didn't find out until that afternoon long after the meeting was done when everyone had similar cookie boxed in different flavors (chocolate included!) and they were eating and passing them around and I was in the stupid conference room so I couldn't buy any because the girl scouts were already gone. D: At least I got to eat some cookies from the boxes that were being passed around...

As a random fact, today I used a database I'm not even supposed to access. Been working with Mr. hairy face and shaved arms with the database. It looks totally easy. So then this girl with cool hair (it's dyed like fire with orange and yellow) is explaining something because the guy is very busy and needs help (as in actually completing tasks instead of watching out for his mistakes) so she's explaining the report then asks if I have access to the data base (not microsoft access, it's some other big database that works with a zillion different formats but is suprisingly simple).

So I say no, because they won't give me access unless I take the training so it's not even installed on the comp on my desk but I do know how to use it. So she's like "okay then you can borrow my login" (which we're totally not supposed to do) then she goes to log into it from my comp and we talk about video games for a while (didn't know she was a game fan though she's not into RPGs, she likes fighting games) then fangirl about pretty game guys. It was funny because hair/shave guy was all like "help me D:" at his desk but couldn't leave because he was at an online meeting and the heat set's cord can only reach so far.

So far it turns out there's one gamer and one anime fan, DBZ guy sits closer to my desk but Ivy (aka miss workaholic and too honest for her own good) sits between so we can't chat in peace, though I do stop by when I need to walk to the printer.

I haven't been reading fics because the contract for the client we work for isn't done so I can't pretend to work by myself since the only thing left to do until the contract is ready is to help someone else.
