Anime: Toradora!

I watched an episode of Toradora! has anyone watched it? It kind of reminded me of Lovely Complex with the entire girl and guy helping each other with their respective crushes and maybe ending up together. Nothing's been confirmed but it's the most obvious guess. Except Lovely Complex was way more entertaining. In the case of Toradora! it's about a guy with "scary eyes" that make people think he's some kind of yakuza, even though his father (who has passed away) was the gangster and the boy is actually a nice guy. The main girl is very short and temperamental which earned her the name of "palm size tiger". Though in this case height is not the issue, it's about their reputation that scares people. Has anyone watched it? I'm not sure if I'll continue with it. I might keep going until I find something more entertaining.

Game: Phoenix Wright

Been playing Phoenix Wright. ^_^ I've had plenty of Trials and Tribulations indeed. I got the wrong version of two of the games with a whole bunch of languages including Italian, German and Spanish but no English. Luckily I can understand Spanish so I'm playing 2 in Spanish and 1 in English. Phoenix German voice sounds weird, his Italian is too slow and the Spanish one is really fast and amusing. The bad news is that my saved game mysteriously died when I was about to go to end Tres Bien trial.

I finished the Kudo interrogation and that's it. I had 2 turnabouts left but lacked the patience to start from the begging. I read the script for the rest of the game and found out all about Godot's secret but I'm not going to say what it is here. Now I'm off to play Ace Attorney and and finally Justice for All. So far Godot is still the most amusing. Okay Kudo is hilarious but he's old. The only reason Godot is only cool and not quite fangirling material is because he needs to shave. I say the same about Tony Stark from Iron Man. Mikari doesn't like facial hair.

Offline Life: Not Offended

I recently read a post on my F-List about something someone saw that offended them. There was also a picture of the offensive sign, except when I saw it I thought it was a joke and not only did I need to read the entire blog post, but also follow a link to a related article to understand that it wasn't meant as a joke. Even then I was thinking "what? People are offended by just that?"

Maybe it's because I couldn't care less what people think of me. Are they going to give me presents if I earn their approval? No, they're not, so why do I need their approval? I'm a Harvest Moon girl, sci-fi edition, meaning I don't like nature and love machines but if you want me to care you have to give me something. I'm not materialistic, it doesn't have to be a preset but you still need to give me something. That something could be amusement in the form of friendship, which is something that doesn't cost money and is more rare to find than anything you can buy in a store. If I'm not interested in talking to you, don't expect me to care about what you think of me. Honestly, no harm done, words are mere words, why be offended by the words of a stranger?

Thus because I am certainly no where near emotional or oversensitive, I see many others as just that. Though on the few occasions when I have slipped and said something "mean" it has bean plainly obvious I had no bad intentions thus it was only pointed out that it could be taken badly and since they knew I meant no harm no one got mad at me. Still it puzzles me how easy people can be offended, where's your confidence? Not to criticize anyone, this isn't directed at any specific person, honestly if I thought you were that intolerant (or reverse-intolerant?) then you wouldn't be in my F-List anymore. But I do wander why the ignorant are not simply ignored. Idiots who judge by superficial things are not important enough to be heard so why bother being offended by them?

When I actually notice the malice behind the words (it has to be obvious) I just look down on them and laugh in silence but I don;t get mad because in the end, they're opinion doesn't count anyway. I also often notice that certain "controversial" things, are not badly intended.

This rant was brought by a passing car with a recorded message playing. That in itself is a rare event in this neighborhood. The Won cars as a call them are not rare, that is the cars selling and buying things, like a pawnshop on wheels (is that the correct name?) I call them Won cars after Won from Harvest Moon. There's also the ice-cream trucks and the pizza trucks that pass by nearly every day. Commerce is not rare and during the elections we had publicity messages driving by as well. But the "public service" announcements advising against doing this or that, or saying that this or that is bad, is a big rarity.

I heard the message and was a bit surprised because as I said, it's a rarity. However in no why was I offended because it wasn't directed at me anyway. Though I do believe that several people in my F-List would find it offensive as well as several people offline. I just thought "that was unexpected" and that's it. I noticed that the message was not intended to be criticism but advice. It advice against certain things. Some people, especially those who practice those certain things, may be offended by it, but because I didn't feel the intention was offensive I personally don't find it to be offensive.
