The Phoenix Wright they talk too slowly and too much, plus they keep repeating things. Dude I can cross examine the first time I hear the testimony why must I wait when I have the entire case figured out by then? All my predictions have been correct, and no, I have not looked at any spoilers this is totally predictable. D: Does it get better? Does it really? I can only hope. *is being a whinnier*
It would be better if they didn't show us what happened because then you would know as much as Phoenix is supposed to know, which is nothing, he wasn't there. They practically give you the case in a silver platter, how does one get a game over on this this game? Is that even possible? D: *total whinnier* Ok, ok I'll shut up now.
Anyway I'm very picky with games and anime, more so with games lately. They need to have nice graphics and a really good story. I also like olots of space to run around, the lack of running around in Phonix is making me bored. Besides, the examining thing, cake, I beat Manic Mansion: Day of the Tentacle yo! (or was it night I forget) It's an ancient DOS game with graphics well beyond its time, easily better than GBA graphics. It was made by the one and only George Lucas. You had to examine things and find items that did not really stand out all that much, so searching for evidence is noting, Just put the cursor thingy on it and "examine" lights up. You got no little clues like that on Day of the Tentacle, you had to push, pull, look at things, use them and a bunch of other commands... was that game ever fun.
Since I'm in a better mood now I'll talk about that game which I still love, I'll play phoenix later, sorry I let down the PW fans on my Flist, I get bored of it too easily. D:
Anyway so the story behind Manic Mansion: Day of the Tentacle, is that a Tentacle (yeah it has an eye and everything and hops around... not a squid, a tentacle.) named Purple drinks some polluted water and grown two little tentacles (arms) with the power to pick up things he goes off to take over the world. His brother a green tentacle named Green is calls a stereotipical nerd named Bernard and his siblings for help.
Bernard is thin, has a big nose, thick glasses, ears black pants halfway up on his chest, a white shirt with a pocket full of pens and a red bow tie. XD He invited his siblings on the quest to help Green. Hoggy is a rock singer, he's chubby and has long messy black hair, wears jeans and a black tshirt with skulls. Lavegne (I forget how to spell her name) is a nurse in training, with a permanent O.o expression and a big silly smile. She wears a square pattern skit, a baggy green sweater and a red headband on her messy blond hair. Did I mention that despite this game being ancient the characters talk? Yes, this was made over 10 years ago with colorful high quality graphics, no lego people, great music, great voices, and it all ran in DOS! You see now why I'm mostly unimpressed by games unless they are truly great? Because I saw something better ages ago.
So you go to the mad scientist's mansion which is actually a hotel full of very funny guests. You have to collect random items, pant, pens, hamsters, tools, food, keys and use them to get other items, interact with the guests. It's lots of fun and very funny! When the mad scientists find you he sends the siblings to "yesterday" to stop Purple's mutation and thus save the world. But the time machine fails and sends each one to a different time. You can switch between them from the era where the constitution was being made, to the present time to the future where tentacles rule and humans go to pet shops. You can also send items from one time to another and see how they interact. Pure genius, I wish they made a movie or something about it because I would laugh all the way through, -if- they don't ruin the storyline and jokes like they sometimes do in those remakes of something old.
Don't even get me started with Jazz Jackrabbit, the ancient original from ten years ago was great but the new one?! Eva just disappears and Jazz, who had his own style as the adorable but deadly lime green bunny with the huge bazooka, gets turned into a Han Solo wannabe and destroyed! D:
Anyway, I better get some sleep now and reply Day of the tentacle cuz I wubs that game. Oh yeah and I'm feeling much better now as if you couldn't tell from the fangirl rant. :D *randomly glomps Reno*
