Lately I've had more access to a camera and I've been photographing a little.
I thought that perhaps I could share some of it here.
:)
(clicking on the picture takes you to its flickr page where you can see it bigger among other things, you can also click on the other ones but that won't give you a bigger version)
This is in Leiden, where we visited a museum. (They had Roman statues, and I tried to portray them as Weeping Angels but failed miserably, haha.) Afterwards we wandered through the city centre, where my companions had to put up with me taking pictures every other step. It was my first trip with a camera on hand! ^_^
They didn't seem to mind though, and when we discovered this mill I went a little crazy and just had to photograph it from every angle.
I'm still a little unsure about editing and how much a real life photo needs.
Well.

Our country is WK CRAZY!!
Everywhere you look is orange. Seriously, this is the most innocent of orange houses - just around the corner there is one that's just covered in orange flags, banners, shirts and vuvuzela's... and everything else orange you can imagine!
To be fair, we did make it into the finals, so a little celebration isn't out of place :D
Irises rarely bloom in our garden, despite our many tries. This year was special because a yellow one bloomed several times around my birthday (that's when they usually bloom, which makes it extra special because my name is Iris). And then a couple of days ago, a violet one suddenly turned up next to the pond!
Needless to say we took a million pictures of it.
I will only be able to show you one more though.. Most of my other pictures are worse :D
If you've clicked and viewed, I hope you enjoyed my meagre offering of photo's :) Now that I've got the means and the time to practise, I would really like to get better at this.
Have a good weekend!
