Opening Mic
So me and a handful of the boys went to a new place called Javatropolis last night here in the north Tampa area to play an open mic. It was just, alot of fun man. We played some newer tunes and just pretty much messed around laughin thru the songs and havin a good time. It's awesome not having to stana up and really entertain, but just chill in a casual atmosphere and play like you're in someones living room. haven't done open mic's in so long.
we'll be back next tuesday for sure.
oddly enough, we met some people and we got into conversations long drawn into directions we never expected to go, through alot of laughs they eventually ask "whats your band called" and daniel goes "oh nimbus" and they all stop and look at us like we were about to mug them and said "nimbus?! we have your cd at our house...it's the yellow cd with the little white label on it? omg yeah!!" we were equally surprised, believe me, then they go on to tell us that their friend burned a copy to take to new jersey. small world.
