So, I'm back . . . again. I tried getting a non-livejournal, but it ended up being much more of a hassle than expected (note the new simplified layout).
Life is settled now, at least for the time being. I don’t hate my job as much. I don’t have to pay exorbitant amounts of money for a huge apartment because I’ve moved. My new car is beautiful and rides like a dream. I’m training for the marathon distance (not a particular marathon)and running my favorite distance-- the half marathon -- in november. I’m having fun in chorus at MU (where I’m often confused with the students. Ex. Last week I “lost points” on my “grade” for forgetting my music and delighted in informing the teacher: No, there will be no need for that… I’m not a student.)
However, I miss being around Stephen all the time. We see each other every weekend (which is absolutely wonderful) . . . but every time we see each other is the best time . . . and it’s this perpetual forward, upward trend in our relationship - meaning it becomes harder to separate. I don’t like to gush about how much I love him (because I get accused of being disgustingly cute) - but Stephen is the most spectacular partner I could have ever imagined. And get this! He’s REAL! So that means all those yellow curry candlelight dinners are real. And the early morning snuggling . . . REAL! Special art projects just for me? Yes, those are real too!
This weekend we’re traveling to NJ to attend his cousin’s wedding. Should be especially exciting for us, the engaged team that we are . . . oh, oh, by the way, we ended up getting a gorgeous opal and diamond engagement ring. It only cost $5,000 --- what a steal! After all, I expect a beautiful (aka expensive) ring (just kidding, we got it on ebay because we fucking rock hardcore!)
SCULLY, OH HOW BIG YOU ARE!
More later….
