(no subject)
I'm doing JE Hols! Yay! I can't wait. I'm looking forward to my assignment. I always feel like writing in exchanges allows me to do things that I normally wouldn't, because it's something that someone else wants. And it's always nice when someone else writes a fic for you too ^_^ I haven't started it yet, but I plan to once I'm finished with the other challenges I'm writing. I'm actually not involved in as many as I was before in hoped that I'll have time to write some of my own fics ><; I really haven't spent much time doing that in a while and it's kind of sad. I have some ideas I'm still really attached to the idea of writing, and there are new ones forming as well. So, I just have to slow down with the exchanges and such now. The good thing is though, that since this is my first year participating in exchanges, now I know which ones I like more. There are a couple I definitely plan on writing in next year as well. I hope Hols will be just as great this year. Nothing like a fic for Christmas, eh?
I usually limit myself in some of the couples or characters I write, generally not because I don't like someone, but because I don't feel comfortable writing certain people being involved with other people. At the same time, I kind of get annoyed sometimes when I see so many people saying that they won't write someone. It seems sad to me, but only gets on my nerves when I see so many people saying it about the same person. But I guess it kind of makes me a hypocrite, expect for the fact that for me it really isn't because of disliking them. And I read stuff about them. Hmm. It's hard to explain.
I think at this point I'm just kind of rambling because it's late, and this is hard to type because my brother's kitten thinks laps equal bed, especially if that person is distracted by a laptop. Maybe it's jealousy. Does anyone else try and figure out their animals' astrological signs? I'm pretty certain my brother's kitten is a Gemini, which is why he bounces off the walls. I'm way too focused on astrological signs. I even considered writing a fic based on that a few times. I think it would be kind of funny, but I don't know how many people would find it interesting. Anyone here? Hehe.
Also, I'm working on my 10 genre memes right now. If anyone wants to request anything else, it's here. I don't have more than I can handle yet, by a ways ;)
So, in RL news, tomorrow begins my hunt for a job. I also have to finish putting together my portfolio and study for the GRE so I can go to grad school. Yay. RL is looking fun right now. Truthfully though I love the line of work I'm going into, I just don't feel as prepared for it as I should be. Enter grad school. But until then I have to work because I'll have to start paying my loans. *sigh* I'll let you guys know if I find anything interesting, lol.
