Ah, me. Yesterday was hell- and especially two nights ago: sneezing, runny nose, ringing ears and a killer headache- all of which, wouldn't go away. Feeling better today... probably because of the loads of Benadryl I shoved down my throat. Mmm,.. Benadryl that makes me go "zzz...".
David and I had some serious discussion about living arrangements next year. I've already applied to the CA White realtor to try to get into one of 3 choices: the apt building
lisabee and
hellpossum are living in, the apt building one street over on Howe (Campus View), or the poshier Cambridge Oxford apartments. We're also going to be looking at the Eli, which runs on the more expensive side of 2 bedroom apartments in New Haven. I think the Eli may be far out of our price range, though. (Price range being anything $1300/mo. or less.) There are also a number of options down near the Liberty Building or off Chapel St.
The conversation was a result of our current Landlord From Hell e-mailing David and saying "hey, we've got two unsuspecting, naiive undergrad students who don't know about the shittiness of the apartment building and are willing to sign a lease tomorrow. Are you moving?" It was a hard question to ponder, mostly because moving takes a ton of effort. (I'll probably have to take a number of days off of work.) And we haven't secured living space for next year just yet. Unfortunately, this falls in the category of "Kirsten's job" because 1) I'm the one who really wants to move and 2) David's too busy with school work and crew. Moving will be good, though, because 1) we'll be moving out of this CRAPPY APARTMENT FROM HELL and 2) it will give us the chance to get organized and put our lives/ stuff in order.
Progress will be reported shortly.
