check list
it's been a crazy few days. j+i were in boston for his sister's wedding, and i was wedding videographer for most of it. it was a very beautiful and easy ceremony. not all weddings are like that.
i've been back at minted for the past couple of weeks, but i'm not called in on a regular basis -- which is a blessing and a curse for now. blessing because at least i'm making something and still get time to work on the other projects. curse because it's not as steady as i'd like it to be. but honestly, the good outweighs the bad.
the universe has been giving me a break recently -- in terms of there were things i gave myself to do, and then as time went on, realized it was foolish of me to take on, when it would have been much simpler just to give people directly what they want instead of making a huge production out of it. as a result, i feel as though i've hurt my credibility a little bit, but at least there's a lesson learned about the whole deal now.
i'm holding a screening for the good daughter on september 30 in san francisco. it feels a bit strange to be holding such said screening after making the film so many years ago, but i do feel as though I owe those involved to celebrate it. to be honest, i've been feeling a bit out of the film loop a little bit, but i've been scribbling a few ideas here and there. getting them to materialize isn't that difficult, but finding the motivation to keep things going is key. the trick is not putting myself in the doghouse. and it's very, very easy to.
