(no subject)
so, laced up the old boots yesterday and saw VNV with Devin and Val. was tickled when lead singer man started ragging on livejournal and modern technology, saying that eventually it was going to get so ridiculous that they were going to talk onstage via text messages. made me smile, thinking about the fact that since i have gotten my new phone, i have received more of such things than during the entire 4 years that i had my other hunk of junk. my little cell still intimidates me slightly, i think it's smarter than i am.
watching davey havok run out on stage was hilarious. even more amusing was devin turning to me and saying, "Who is THAT?"
EAST BAY HARDCORE. ha.
other than that, good synthpop and a happy audience all around.

Joe has taken off, Jen and I are alone as the holidays draw to a close and visitors no longer trickle in. Ness will appear on my doorstep sometime in the next week or so. Seems weird that so many years have kept us apart and yet we are bound together by internet and a friendship that has somehow lasted for almost a third of my life.

Did you know that there is a restaurant where you sit at a counter and little boats filled with sushi pass by? Amazing.
