Crowley was never so delighted when Gabriel turned up, never cancelled a day's work to spend the day with him going to museums and art galleries. He certainly didn't have any pet names for Gabriel that he would have uttered in public, nothing as disgusting as 'angel'. But that was how it was going to be from then on, Crowley wasn't coming back: he sent people to collect his belongings, sent a car over to ferry Gabriel back and forth to his hospital appointments. And he kept his distance.
Gabriel didn't expect him to show up for the birth. Gabriel didn't much care at the time, too busy cursing the man and trying suck in as much of the magic gas as possible as doctors and nurses fussed around him.

A very odd AU. One day I might even get to finish it. It takes place over a number of years. Crowley and Gabriel are Castiel's parents, lawyer!Crowley knocks up teenage Gabriel, and then gets the hell out of there as soon as his English book-collector boyfriend shows up. Fast-froward five or so years; Gabriel and Sam meet on the playground one day, they talk, laugh, share baby-sitting duties, fall in love. Sam's the oldest Winchester, saddled with bringing up Dean and baby!Adam. Gabriel and Sam get together and despite being being brought up as brothers... well, Dean and Castiel aren't very good boys, and when they're teenagers and left alone over a weekend... things sort of come to a head.
