I hate musicals. Em hates musicals. And yet we went last night to see Sweeney Todd. And it rocked. Burton's vision of Victorian London seems heavily inspired by The Shade's recollections and Friedrich Engels. The cinematography was incredibly beautiful and both Depp and Bonham-Carter do wonderfully twisted performances. This is a must buy when released to DVD. It's that good.
