On catching up...
Yawn... sorry, lazy day - not cause of a lack of things to do but due to a lack of motivation.
Its been a while since I updated...
Jump back about a week and a half - Wednesday my throat started to bother me. Tylenol was having good short term effect, but when it would wear off my throat was no better then before dosing.
Then on Saturday, I woke up at 5am to meet people for the day trip to University and my throat was swollen, I was too congested to breathe, and I was feverish. Yuch. Spent the next two days lying on the couch wrapped in a blanket.
Monday I went to the doc and after the strep test came back negative, he started to palpate my stomach and up off the table I went. The doc looks at me and says swollen throat, distended spleen, wont know til the blood work comes back, but my money is on mono. So worked from home last week. Still feeling tired and achy but not horrific.
Last weekend was Crusades. I would say it was rained out, but thats like saying Noah had a boat.
Essentially, the tail end of Tropical Storm Tammy was passing over the event site. I probably should not have gone, but I had talked to the Doc on Friday morning, and I had stuff to deliver and collect and we needed to sort out who was autocrat.
Got all that done and more - although by the time I got home nothing I had brought was dry anymore. Nothing.
Dug is away. The dogs are moping. I figure today or tomorrow they will adjust. What bothers me the most is that they dont eat when they are like this. I try to give them extra love and treats until i see the food in the bowl has been eaten, but its hard to come home to two mopey dogs. Last night, they didn't move off the dog bed in the living room - from arounf 7 at night until 8 this morning. Almost had to pick them up and put them outside this morning.
They are good pups, though.
