Asking the brain trust…

OK, my blackberry pearl is two years old, the battery barely holds a charge, and the trackball is flaky at best. Most of the time it wont scroll down. So, its time for a new phone. I am staying with AT&T, but not sure what to do about a phone. Hence I need your advice.

Option 1: Refurbished iPhone 3G 8GB for $50. Currently showing as out of stock

They have provioded me excellent service for ~10 years now. No reason to switch, plus we just renewed A's line so we have two years without an early termination fee.

Ah, ok then. Most people I know with AT&T are unhappy, so I've just started assuming.

Seems to be an issue in the major metropolitan areas, such as NYC, Chicago, DC, etc. from what I have gathered.

or not so major cities like Des Moines, St Louis, Ithaca, etc....not sure why
