Damn that was fun! After a short bout of tutoring, I went on over to D. Fizzles for some partyage. The food was good that everyone made, and my chicken came out pretty well (besides the meat not sticking to the bone part lol).
Afterwards was quite an adventure, with people needing to be driven around, lack of alcohol, lack of cups, and getting lost on the way to the beach.
But the beach was totally worth it. It was located (as shown by cara and friends to ed and I) in Mt. Sinai in some remote patch of forest edge. So, after driving for a half hour or so and making a few wrong turns, we got to the street to park and then proceeded to walk in complete darkness (or almost complete darkness) about a quarter mile through the forest to the beach. When we emerged from the forest the view was still awesome.
The beach was a narrow bluff atop a 300 foot sandy slope which led down to the normal beach-water interface. The view was of the black long island sound at night, no lights, no boats, no people. In the distance a few of the lights of connecticut could be seen...in a nutshell it was awesome.
Just hanging out with everyone was great, it reminded me of our old hs days and was a blast.
Thanks Dan and everyone!!!!
Have a great time in Washington E and Jess!!! (I think I'm coming down in a week or two)
