Friendship Chinese..
Chinese places all over the place in the city, but it's really hard to find that one that stands apart from the rest. We just ordered dinner from Friendship Chinese. According to a friend, they have really good food. The prices were just shy of being outrageous, so I'm hoping this is the best Chinese food ever!
On to pressing matters...
This week has been good so far. I had to go to the old office today to get my last paycheck. I was hoping the Dr. would have given it to a friend that still works there, but I wasn't so lucky. He wanted me to come in and sign a document stating that I voluntarily left my position before he would give me my check. He thought I was going to try to collect unemployment. What a tard. However, that chapter of my life is now officially closed. I've never felt better.
Thankfully, my new office was okay with me coming in a half hour late today, so I could do that. Speaking of the new office, they let the other assistant go this afternoon. I wasn't there to experience the aftermath though. They sent me home early so it wouldn't be awkward. I felt really bad, but in all honesty, I don't think I could have worked with that girl. She was very slow, inefficient, and lacked common sense. When you're a dental assistant you can't be any of those 3 things.. Not even a little bit. You have to be on your toes at all times. So when you have one person on your team that's even the slightest bit slow it changes the whole dynamic of the entire office, and it effects the patients. You can't have that.
It's so strange how much things have changed just within two weeks. I left one office, started at another, the boyfriend lost his job, and my bday is only a little over two weeks away! My bday is Dec. 4th & the bf's is the 5th. I'm throwing him a surprise party at my best friends flat! He has no idea. We're getting a keg of Goose Island, I'm going to buy two dozen of Molly's Cupcakes, and I'm going to buy some Mikes Hard Variety case for the non-beer drinkers (which includes myself). I can't wait!
