So we took Danger to his first fireworks show last night, he fell asleep on the way there but we woke him up a minute before it started. I think if he was a little more awake he would have enjoyed it more, but atleast it didn't scare him.
Also whats nice is we get a real good view of the show from a park a 10 minute walk down the street. But on the way we talked about what kind of place we want to buy when we get back home and the preparations we need to make. I really want an old colonial home in Mt. Holly, the kind made with brick steel and wood that have been standing for a few hundered years.
But that got me thinking about our future. Not just about our future home, but what does the future hold for us and this nation. Where is the world headed? What if we are bolting straight for a brickwall?
Now I'm not gonna preach global warming or foreign policy, but it is going to impact each of us. So I google end of the world scenarios and I found this site
http://www.exitmundi.nl/exitmundi.htm showing all kinds of things that could end it all. Of course I'm usually the guy in the group who is last to know about sites like this, so you probably already know about it. But it's kind of depressing, most of the EOTW theories have no survivable outcome.
But I have started making plans and a few provisions for less dramatic possible futures. But I should probably get on some giants shoulders and go from there.
