It turns out that yesterday wasn't my last day teaching at the construction company. Luckily, I miscalculated and it turns out that I have two more days with them, which makes me happy. We got off to such long tangents in class yesterday, we didn't even get through everyone describing their weekends, let alone open the textbook.
It makes me a little sad, in that I doubt there will ever be a job back home where having a couple extra days will actually make me happy.
After teaching, some of the workers invited Jesse (another R-Pool teacher) and me to go across the street for some drinks and okonomiyaki. Usually I would politely decline, but I honestly had no reason to so I decided to go.
It was really fun. Even though I got stuck at the table with the older presidents of the company as opposed to the table with people more my age, it was still really fun. Everyone was really nice. Jesse could talk to them more because he was a guy like the rest of them and knows tons more slang, but they said that I spoke well, too. They bought everyone drinks and I had a lot of new okonomiyaki food. Next week they're going to take us to the yakiniku restaurant next door, which is supposedly really high quality. Even though I was the only female and youngest one there, it was still fun talking and the time really flew. Something about it felt...right? Normal? Not too weird?
Anyways, it was a lot of fun. That's all that is new that I have to report, really. I'm going to take a nap before class, now.
