Egh, I gained some weight back over the break. It was probably due to sitting around and not doing much since the weather was so cold, and eating convini food.
Blegh.
I'll be able to lose it again, now that I'll have things to do such as school and lots of bike riding. I need to stay away from the convinis though, they're too addicting.
I got my haircut today. I thumbed through a magazine before I went so that I could show her what kind of hairstyle I wanted. I was worried because I haven't had my hair cut in a long time, I was afraid that the hairstyle that looks good on a Japanese girl wouldn't look good on me, and I was just nervous about miscommunications in general.
The salon is called "Plaza" and is right across the street from my college. One of my teachers recommended it to me. It's the cheapest one around, too.
It went really well, though. I got a nice girl and we were able to hold conversations about various things. I showed her the picture and showed her how I wanted bangs, how I liked how the girl in the picture's bangs gradually got longer, what length I wanted, etc. We seemed to be on the same page.
The whole thing took around an hour and a half. I was worried at some points because my hair didn't look anything close to what the picture was, but it came out really well. They even washed my hair for free. The put in some nice smelling stuff, styled it, and sprayed it with green apple-smelling spray. It was relaxing, and now my head feels nice and light. I also liked the reactions I have gotten so far, too. I'm really happy with the way it came out, it was definitely worth the $25.
Among the small talk I shared with my hairdresser lady, I found out that it's not tsuyu (rainy season yet). She says that comes around June, and right now it's just normal sakura-season rain.
I'll be happy when summer comes around and my hair starts changing to the color I like, too.
I usually hate taking Myspace-y pictures of myself, but I thought I'd post it one up because this is probably the prettiest it'll look in a long time, as I don't have access to hairspray or a curling iron and I'm pretty unskilled with using them even if I did.
