doramas fall 2009

... a lot of doramas! basically most of the popular ones. here a short opinion on them.

My Girl

main cast: aiba masaki, yuka, murakami shingo (aka mr "why does he have to appear in a dorama?!")

oh, watching the first two minutes of that series gave me the idea of what kind of dorama that will be. but well, i gave in and watched the whole first episode. didn't convince me at all. hence no picture and immediately deleted. it's just so obvious what will happen...

JIN

main cast: oozawa takao, nakatani miki (aka the pretty one, ayase haruka

nice. did the lead actor appear in any other main doramas? i don't remember his face. i like the plot of this series, which is quite unique although it is the typical time slip situation. the doctor seems a nice person, who's not only focused on getting back to his real life, but actually learning from that people in old edo. i first thought "too much" when he tried to rescue the second person, when an actual change appeared in his picture, i understood that it has to be like that for the plot. i don't know if i continue to watch it that depends on the next episode. although i'm really curious if he manages to rescue his wife and himself.

Shojouko Seira

main cast: shida mirai, tanabe seiichi (aka the ugly guy from kimipe)

fluffy, fluffy, fluffy. painting the world in black and white while the whole series is full of colors @______@ "a ritoru purinsesu" - gawd, they did so many cruelties to foreign languages o.O;; the french was barely understandable! i liked the beginning in india with the elephants and her father. it's sad that he doesn't appear more in this dorama. and the mice indicate the cinderella reference (vice versa though...). although it is quite predictable what will happen between seira and maria, as well as the boy, i don't care, because i like mirai-chan^^. i just hope they don't ruin the end...

Untouchable

main cast: nakama yukie, kaname jun, ashina sei (aka the saru lock girl)

what a surprise! nakama yukie is my all time favorite <3 i even liked her short appearance in "mr brain". in the beginning i didn't like the plot: high class journalist struggles with her degration. but it turns out to be more than that. who's that "na nashi no gonbei"? and what's up with all that manipulation? mystery, wohooooo. although her role a failed journalist is a bit exaggerated, i think this is going to be one of the best doramas this season. the story fits perfectly together - a must watch!

Ohitorisama

main cast: mizuki arisa, koike teppei (aka the cute guy), matsushita nao

oh, what a sweet series! this is SO a love-dorama, i know! but way better than buzzer beat last season. i liked the chemistry between the main cast an they convinced me right away. first, satomi totally dislikes this younger guy shinichi, but that's understandable, and then she learns that he's more than meets the eye. bwahahahaaa, and her apartment? a big mess just like mine XDD who's in need for some love for this winter, watch this.

Samurai Highschool

main cast: miura haruma, shirota yuu, kobayashi ryouko (aka the sweet one from maou)

omg, i just watched that with a friend. first of all, i didn't know that haruma-kun could be THAT funny. gawd, jumping around like that and making faces at other people, i had a totally different picture of him. i especially liked his daydream where he saved his friend. the story is REALLY predictable, but there were so many highlights! like when he fought with that ruler acting like it is his sword! bwahahahaa, i died laughing. or just when he becomes that totally different person every time. i also liked the dialogues^^. although shirota yuu is SO not suited for that role, i really enjoyed this show.

Tokyo Dogs

main cast: oguri shun, mizushima hiro

aaaaand the award for best opening gooooes toooo: tokyo dogs! nicely made. well, first off the combi! those two are like perfect for their roles. takakura as the cool, clever guy, who turns out to be quite "socially clumsy" - oh, more than the clichée cool guy, i was surprised. and kudo is just pure fun (what's with that motorrad gang?!). i totally loved the dialogues and the phonecalls from takakuras mother in every improper situation ("she knows about me being back?! bad."). although i don't like everything about this series (takes sometimes too long), i think i'm going to watch is.

simply for scenes like that! i don't know what it is going to be with her amnesia, but those two caring about her was too sweet. takakura even made "tako wiener" (one of my highlights XDDD)!

aaaaand for these! what is it with narimiya hiroki playing the bad guys?! not that i don't like him in these roles, but they potentially die earlier... and he was looking really good here!

sooo, that's it for now! i just saw on jdorama, that there are some other interesting doramas i need to watch. well, not today nor this weekend, but definitely soon.

dorama, rambling
